VitaIQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the VitaIQ mobile application collects, uses, and safeguards information.
Meal logs, meal plans, custom meals, saved recipes, grocery lists, water intake, weight history, progress photos, optional cycle tracking, goals, settings, and reminders are stored locally. Progress photos are not uploaded automatically.
Account and authentication (Supabase): Your email, account ID, display name, account timestamps, and secure authentication records are processed to create and protect your account. VitaIQ never receives your password in readable form.
AI features (Google Gemini): When you use an AI feature, your prompt and relevant nutrition context are sent to Google Gemini. If you explicitly request AI feedback on a progress photo, a compressed copy is sent for analysis. Your name, email, and password are not included in AI prompts.
AI safety reports (Supabase): If you choose to report an AI response, the response, report category, feature context, account ID, and report time are stored for review.
Barcode scanning (Open Food Facts): The barcode number is sent to retrieve food information. No account or health information is included.
Subscriptions (RevenueCat and Google Play): Subscription status and a pseudonymous account ID are processed to purchase and restore access. We do not receive your payment card details.
Camera access is used only when you scan a food barcode or choose to take a profile or progress photo. Notification access is used for local reminders. VitaIQ does not use precise location, contacts, advertising trackers, or profiling analytics.
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing. Information is sent only to the service providers above to deliver the feature you request.
Use Profile → Delete Account & All Data to permanently delete your Supabase account and local app data. Uninstalling removes local data but does not by itself delete the online account. AI safety reports may be retained only as needed for safety, abuse prevention, and legal obligations. For subscription record removal or another request, contact us and we will process it within 30 days.
VitaIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
